Reservation Fee Contract

I am very excited to welcome you into the Boreal Puppies’ Family!

Reservation Process, Terms, and Conditions

You will be placed on the Master Waiting List of your choice in the order Reservation Fees are received by Boreal Puppies. You must identify an intended litter that meets your requirements within 30 days of reservation.

Please remember: Your Reservation Fee is non-refundable but transferable to a future litter with 12 months of your reservation date. If you haven’t chosen a litter/puppy by that time ½ of your reservation fee will be refunded or a new reservation purchase agreement can be signed.

Boreal Puppies’ Reservation List Agreement

This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions for reserving a Boreal Puppy. By signing, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Reservation Fee

• A $500.00 reservation fee is required to join the Master Waiting List.

• The Reservation Fee is non-refundable but transferable for up to two (2) litters from your original list choice within 12 months.

• Your deposit is 50% refundable.

• While Boreal Puppies will make every effort to honor preferences (coat color, coat texture, gender, etc.), specific traits cannot be guaranteed. We prioritize puppy personality and temperament traits and finding the right fit within families and hope you do too.

• If you do not select a puppy within two litters or 12 months have passed since you initially reserved and you wish to remain on the Master List, a new Reservation Fee Contract will be required.

2. Litter Timing

• Heat cycles, pregnancies, and projected litter dates are estimates and may change.

• Boreal Puppies reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel a planned breeding if necessary to protect the health and welfare of the breeding dogs.

• In such situations, you will be offered placement in a future litter.

3. Pairing Changes

• Boreal Puppies may make changes to breeding pairings at any time, even as the planned breeding date approaches, if circumstances require it.

• We remain committed to selecting a pairing that reflects the original plan as closely as possible.

• You will be informed of any pairing changes once the breeding has taken place.

4. Puppy visits

• Puppy visits are at 6 weeks old! (Dates to be provided in an email to all families.)

• We will have 1-2 families come for an hour visit at a time. Virtual visits can be arranged also!

5. Puppy Selection

• Puppy selection takes place after temperament testings and most times after vet clearance.

• Puppy selection takes place in Reservation List order on puppy selection day. Each family will be a time to choose and will be provided a specific meeting time on selection day. We ask that you make yourself available the evening of selection in case the process speeds up.

• If you are unavailable or cannot be reached during your assigned time, your spot in the selection order will be passed (we will always wait until your designated meeting time even if the process has sped up.)

• Boreal Puppies is happy to assist you with your puppy selection or you can designate a proxy if you are unavailable at your selection time.

6. Abandoned Picks

• Boreal Puppies reserves the right to reassign any forfeited, unused, or abandoned pick positions at our discretion.

  
  

7. Returned Reservation Fee

• Boreal Puppies reserves the right to return your reservation fee and not pursue the puppy sale if the suitability or safety of the upcoming puppy placement becomes a concern.

  
  

8. Puppy Health

• While Boreal Puppies maintains a thorough health program—including deworming and regular monitoring for ear infections, UTIs, and other common concerns—puppies may occasionally develop minor health issues such as parasites, ear infections, urinary tract infections, or allergies.

• These types of conditions are not covered by the genetic health guarantee and become the responsibility of the buyer once the puppy leaves Boreal Puppies.

  
  

9. Transportation

• Boreal Puppies cannot guarantee transportation of your puppy at go-home day.

• Though we will offer assistance with finding transportation methods, the buyer is solely responsible for all transport arrangements and associated costs.

• Boreal Puppies is able to transport the puppy within 30km at no cost. Beyond this, the cost is $1/km (one-way only).

  
  

10. Nutrition

• Boreal Puppies are raised on TLC Pet Food, which is only an online, deliver to your door-step pet food.

• In order for your puppy to have the smoothest transition to your home we strongly recommend that you order at least one bag of TLC puppy food ahead of when your puppy goes home. Infortmation will be provided once your litter is born.

  
  

11. Spay/Neuter Agreement

• By signing the below agreement, you agree to spay or neuter your dog around the age of 1 years old. The newest research suggests that cancer rates are reduced when dogs are 80% done growing, and if females are passed their first heat cycle.

• For your health guarantee to remain intact you must wait until your dog is at least 10 months old before desexing.

12. Go-Home Day

• Every litter will have a Go-Home Day which will be provided to you within the litter's 1st week of life so you can get prepared. There may be some flexibility around it (on a per-case basis) but after 5 days a boarding fee of $30 will be required. Your puppy must be paid in full as per the payment schedule if alterate pick-up arrangements are to be organized.

  
  

13. Payment Plan

• The total purchase price of each puppy is $2600, which is inclusive of HST.

• This includes:

  • $500 non-refundable Reservation Fee

  • Remaining balance: $2300, is due within 24h of selecting your puppy on week 7 to complete your reservation of your specific puppy.

• Puppies over 7 weeks old must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

• Late or missed payments may result in forfeiture of your reservation.
